Discussions over ways to strengthen security measures in Las Vegas have been triggered by a Justin Bieber imposter who talked his way onto the stage at XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Dylan Desclos fooled Wynn employees and the booked DJ, Gryffin, with the same tattoos, self-assured attitude, and sense of style. Gryffin said, "We've got Justin Bieber in the house!" and played Bieber's 2015 smash song, "Sorry," while Descos sung along.
With hundreds of people screaming and holding out their iPhones to record, Desclos also appeared to deceive the audience into believing they were seeing a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Under the dozens of films that were shared on social media, clever commentators revealed the stunt—not Wynn employees. They identified the singer as Desclos, a 29-year-old French mimic of Justin Bieber who has perfected the act after fans at a 2019 Bieber show commented on how much he looked like the pop sensation.
Word of the scam reached XS employees by 1:30 a.m., around 30 minutes after Desclos' performance. They showed the impostor the door and permanently barred him from ever again entering a Wynn Resorts resort.
Desclos paid for the $10,000 worth of premium bottles his team had ordered before he was kicked out. (I assume that if he had been Bieber, it would have been compensated.)
“After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage,” a Wynn spokesman told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.”
According to reports, the hoax started on Friday when Desclos was spotted shopping at fancy stores and taking photographs with ecstatic fans, spreading the rumor that Bieber was in town.
“My sister sent me a picture with him ,” commented Instagram user @ellielawrrence.
Security Failure The event was a humiliating slip-up for XS Nightclub and led to conversations about strengthening security measures. Wynn Resorts has not made any formal statements regarding the rumors that at least one XS employee was fired, and there may be more to come.
“After 4 minutes and 27 seconds of what sounded like Justin Bieber, I found out the worst news imaginable,” Gryffin later shared on social media.
